Notes
- Tentative identification, based only on Sapherson listing that regiment as wearing red coats with blue facings in 1690.
- Slangenburg was the noble title of Frederik Johan von Baer, who was made a major general in 1688.
- The black facings are specifically noted as being "plush" or velvet.
- Subsidy troops were raised by the German principalities but hired out to the Dutch Republic. Regiments marked "B" are from Brandenburg, "W" from Wolfenbuttel, "HK" from Hesse-Kassel, "LC" from Luneburg-Celle.
- Commanded by Thomas Tollemache, whose name was variously spelled Tolmach, Talmash, or Talmouth.
- Alias the Ordinance Regiment, as its original purpose was to guard the artillery train. Armed entirely with muskets.
- Commanded by Francis Fergus O'Farrell. Armed entirely with muskets.
- Alias Prince George of Denmark's Regiment of Foot, though commanded on campaign by Charles Churchill, Marlborough's brother.
- Regimental Colonel was the Duke of Schomburg, however while this officer was serving in Ireland, the regiment was likely commanded by Sir Robert Douglas while on campaign.
