Purpose of this Blog

Recently I have been eaten up with an interest in historical wargaming, and have been doing a great deal of research into historical campaigns and battles, mostly from the 17th Century. This research often brings up questions that cannot always be answered on the front page of Google, such as specific details about regiments, commanders, movements, and organizations. Having dearly wished that the information I sought would be more readily available, I aim to provide the information I have found on this blog. I am not a professional historian, I do not have direct access to source documents. Most of what I have found has been from the Internet, the rest from books I own. Some of the information I post may be a result of inference, or it may represent my best guess based on other information. That being said, I am open to correction, and I would appreciate any input from anyone else who finds this blog.
